When Mother of God Met St. Tripun on 1st of February on the Way to Vineyard
Translation of a Macedonian folk story about the Orthodox Christianholiday of St. Tripun, the patron saint of vines and winemakers. Pleasenote that the date 1st of February is according to the old calendar, asthe story was written in the second half of 19th century. Currently theday of St. Tripun “the Drunkard” (Sveti Tripun/Trifun – pijanicata)falls on February 14th, coinciding with the catholic holiday of St.Valentine.
